Re-designing workplaces to improve mental health, wellbeing and productivity.
Find out more about the project
Organisations almost always develop layers of unnecessary complexity, such as complex procedures, duplicated roles, and complicated structures.
In the current climate, there is more ambiguity than ever before. Workplaces are increasingly complex, and this can negatively impact employee’s capacity to focus on and engage in their work.
Simplification places the user at the center of an organisational system and designs the workplace in a way that minimizes this complexity.
Whilst there are environmental factors that cause complexity, so too can we contribute to complexity in the workplace. Based on research, four simplify personality types were determined which differ in terms of their interest in simplifying and how they simplify.
